A CAFFEINATED MESSAGE TO BOOST YOURSELF

To be frank, I never thought I would start a blog. I was always nervous and unsure of everything, but I had a sudden jolt to write and express my feelings. After all, I love sharing stories with my friends and family so I thought, this might just be another great way to talk.

Sometimes, my friends would say “Girl, it’s like I’m listening to a transcript of an episode from a TV series” or “Man, your life is so interesting” and I'm very grateful for their support ♡ but to be honest, anyone’s life is interesting. They just need to see the fun in it. But of course, it's easier said than that. (trust, I KNOW. It’s hard and life’s unfair.)

Yes, you can’t always get what you want and someone else may have gotten a better score than you in a test or a finer car or even a bigger house. (Of course, there are even worse cases than that but those are just examples) The worst feeling is when you've tried your outmost hardest; exerted a lot of effort into something and it's still isn't good enough. Somebody just happens to surpass you every time and you can't help but compare yourself to them.

But hey, just because somebody is surpassing you in things you do, doesn't mean you aren't good enough. You are equally as good as everyone else.

Our talents, pace in life and overall personality is what makes us special. Such unique traits that each of us have makes comparison invalid. - yours truly

I’ve had my share of those negative thoughts and let me tell you, it never helps. What you need to do, is to start loving yourself and accept whatever you have and be grateful. My sister once told me:

If you run in a race, you don't look at your sides. Instead, you look straight ahead and focus on the finishing line. Besides, there are people cheering for you on the side.

So if nobody told you how amazing you are today, let me be the first one to say “Good morning beautiful. You're doing great! Keep it up and have a blessed day!”

Now go, get out there, sip on your coffee like a boss and OWN IT, HOT STUFF.
